INTRODUCTION:
Washing Fastness Tester – Fully SS Structure comprising of rotor moving at 40 rpm in water tank. (ISO STANDARD 550Ml
BEAKERS+AATCC STANDARD 1200 ml Beakers) .The Test is intended to determine Colour Fastness of Textile material
irrespective of their Composition (Cotton, Linen, Silk, Man-made Fibers, Wool) and their Form (Fiber, Yarn or Fabric) to
WASHING.
Note: Laundrometer can also be used for checking the Colour Fastness against Bleaching and colour Fastness against
Dry cleaning.

EQUIPMENT DETAILS:
In of Textile in contact with pieces of Adjacent Fabric (STANDARD ADJACENT FABRIC) is mechanically agitated in a
Standard Soap Solution (Sodium Oleate Solution) / ECE Detergent / AATCC Detergent, before being rinsed and dried. The
CHANGE IN COLOUR of the Specimen and the STAINING of the Standard Fabric are assessed with Standard GREY
SCALES. The instrument used for this purpose is called Washing Fastness Tester-Laundrometer
